Using a variety of tools and supplies, we learned about texture through texture exploration stations in kindergarten and first grade. We did different types of rubbings, explored textures found in nature, created texture with paint, and looked at books about texture. We also watched a short video called "The Texture Desert", which can be found on YouTube (in case you want to watch again at home!).
