There are seven elements of art. We discuss how the elements of art are similar to ingredients needed to bake a cake. The elements all work together to make up a good piece of art! In second grade, we are focusing on four of the elements, line, shape, texture and color.
This year, all grades have sketchbooks. We are using the sketchbooks for a variety of things. Our explorations of line, shape, texture and color are all in students' sketchbooks. Sketchbooks will go home at the end of the year.
