3rd Grade Tissue Vases

In third grade art club, we attempted to make tissue paper collaged vases as our last project.  It turned out to be quite difficult to do the short period we have for art club.  However, the kids continue to amaze me with some amazing results in a short amount of time.  This is yet another technique that could garnish some really fantastic results with more time.  Next time, tissue paper vases and acrylic skins will have to be tackled when more time is available!
Sadly, my fall art club has come to an end.  For my third graders, we will have a new group of students meeting for the spring.  It will be exciting to see what my next group creates!  I hope my fall group had a great time in art club.

4th Grade- Acrylic Skins Completed

So, we used the acrylic skins we made to make mini collages.  We cut up the skins, placed them on a disposable palette and covered them with gloss medium.  After a day or two of drying, we peeled them up and they were ready to go!  Awesome technique, just wish we had more time in art club to really explore this technique.

Acrylic Skins

During 4th grade art club last week, we made a bunch of acrylic skins.  This is the how to video:

Next art club, we will be making our skins into a piece of art.  You will see from the video there are lot of things you can do with the skins!
